Bio/About Me

The peoples DJ Jim ‘Shaft’ Ryan is one of club lands establishment figures, an internationally respected DJ, a talented remixer, producer, radio show host, owner of Miss Moneypennys and Chuff Chuff brands, and Head of MPs Music. Jim’s roles make him one of the busiest men in the industry and after over twenty years in the business he show’s no sign of slowing down. This summer Jim will be mixing and releasing Miss Moneypenny’s 11th compilation Miss Moneypenny’s Ibiza Sessions as well as playing at all of Miss Moneypenny’s summer residencies including seven dates at his Ibiza residency. He has produced and remixed under alias including Groove Allegiance, JSR but most recently Jim has teamed up with B15 Project’s Ian Wallman under the Zoned Out moniker. The partnership has remixed a host of stars; Jody Watley who in June went to number 1 in Dance Billboard chart in America, Steve Nickes of Fleetwood Mac, Elvis Presley, and Antonis Remos the biggest selling artist in Greece. Currently the successful duo is in the studio working on there first production project which will be released this autumn. The Miss Moneypenny’s radio show which Jim presents weekly is syndicated in London, Ibiza, Marbella, Teneriffe,Italy, Cyprus and Bulgaria with more territories lined up for syndication before the end of 2007. The show allows Jim to delve deep into his crates and Inbox to champion some of the brightest young talents and the hottest records from his contemporaries. With all of this going on you’d be forgiven thinking that Jim would not have time for his first love of DJing, but this couldn’t be further from the truth. As already mentioned Jim will be heading up Miss Moneypenny’s Summer Seasons around Europe alongside a busy summer period in the UK and around the world. Pioneering some of the scenes hottest sounds is what has kept Jim at the forefront of dance music for the past twenty years and will keep him there for the next twenty.
